CATERING & BEVERAGES
Kauri Springs Lodge offers in-house catering by some of Waiheke Island's best chefs and caterers, so you'll enjoy a quality culinary experience during your stay.
We work with three outstanding caterers to ensure an excellent range and selection. From canapes to banquets through to daily menus for breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon teas, dinner and sweet treats, you will have a delicious variety of dining and meal options to choose from.
We recommend these caterers who are familiar with the Lodge and its operations, and offer excellent service and value for money for small to large groups.
Self-catering, fully catered or a combination of both, it’s up to you.
We welcome guests to make use of our kitchen facilities if they wish to self-cater. There will be service fee charged for self-catering to cover the cost of operating the kitchen. Guests can also choose to cook with the barbecue at each house.
The local Countdown has a large range of food and beverages on offer, and there is a number of speciality food stores on the island including Raw, The Island Grocer, etc. There is a local bakery, Francos - located just two minutes drive from the lodge - that has a range of excellent breads, pastries, cakes and fill rolls. The croissants and danishes are not to be missed, and be sure to order early to ensure you secure your supply.
Kauri Springs Lodge is a BYO venue for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Please supply all your own wine, beer and other drinks as well as ice. And best of all, we do not charge corkage fees.
As Waiheke Island has a reputation for producing some of New Zealand’s finest wines, we recommend you sample a few before leaving our shores. You can order alcohol from the Waiheke Wine Centre, an excellent wine shop with a large and quality selection of wines and spirits. These can be delivered directly to Kauri Springs Lodge in time for your event and charged back to your credit card afterwards less any returned alcohol not consumed.
Kauri Springs Lodge can offer a staffed bar to service your event. You can choose to enjoy your beverages at the Garden Bar in the Pavilion, where our trained bar staff will be able to tend to your needs.
Alternatively, a mobile bar can be set up using trestle tables with linen tablecloths on the large lawn in the front of the house. Ice buckets will be filled with ice and your supplied drinks selection. This is typically done for wedding ceremonies or functions held on the lawn, which is about 150m away from the Lodge House.
